About the Artist

MaryAnn Talamo CPP
Ms.Talamo is an award-winning fine artist with a B.A. degree in Studio Art. She discovered her love of photography when she shot her first roll of film at the age of 11, which she developed and printed herself in the darkroom in her first photography class. She began her formal art education the next year at Mark Twain JHS for the Gifted and Talented in Brooklyn, NY, where she won a UFT award, as well as the medal for best artist of her graduating class. She has been continously studying the fine arts for over 26 years

Her works have been exhibited in the Tokyo Museum of Art, as well as Lever House in Manhattan, and she has won several merits for her photography. Through continuing education, she currently retains the title of Certified Professional Photographer. Most of the backdrops, props and sets that she uses in her photographs are hand-created. Though she is experienced in all artistic mediums, she has always put an emphasis on photography and graphics. As well as studying traditional photographic technique, she also learned how to use Photoshop as far back as 1991, when it was first introduced. She frequently uses her extensive education in art history as a reference in her work.


			MaryAnn is also a busy wife and mother of three children. She strongly feels her experiences with her own family contributes to her understanding of her clients and their families, and the sensitivity and patience she puts into her work. She designed her studio with families in mind, and strives to make the experience of children’s portraiture as stress free as possible, to best capture the true personality of each child she photographs.




Custom Digital Images is located in Staten Island, NY, with a studio in Dongan Hills. MaryAnn is also available for on location photo sessions through out the year.
